Bed Stu

Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

Misleading

I purchased this bag two years ago from the Navy Exchange, and unfortunately, the dye transferred significantly onto other items. Following the complete loss of color, I am dissatisfied with the outcome.

Usual outstanding BEDSTU Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought about this bag for months, even ordered others from other retailers and returned them dreaming about this one. I pulled the trigger and have the following thoughts- 1) expected quality & craftsmanship outstanding, 2) size very generous (I've carried, my 12 in laptop, large bottle of water, kindle, magazines, sunglasses, snack bars, phone charger, and lots of other misc items and still have plenty of room left. 3) I travel with mine and miss having a sleeve to slip on my suitcase (I knew this obvi, but something to think about) 4) I don't love the endless abyss where all of my stuff ends up, wish it had a few more sections/pockets/dividers (I've ordered an insert on Amazon) 5) it sometimes slides off of my shoulder when carrying 6) it is a "slouchy" style, so don't expect it to stand when you put it down, it falls over. OVERALL the bag is gorgeous and I'll keep it and get over these little things I hope.
