Regular British House Boot

I’ve been buying these direct from Celtic & Co (which is a British company) for years. When I saw Nordstrom carries them, I was so excited bc now I don’t have to wait two weeks for them to arrive. Alas, the way they list sizing here is confusing bc these are made in Britain with EU sizing, but it’s not clear how they’re listing these. They don’t even make a women’s size 14. Having said that, I want to share the joy of these boots with anyone wondering. First, they’re the real thing. Made of real shearling wool, from real British sheep. Each pair is made by hand as well. They are meant to be worn without socks. The shearling naturally wicks away any moisture. When you first put them on, they will feel tight. That’s intentional. The shearling will quickly smoosh down and form a perfect impression of your foot, making them the most comfortable shoe you’ll ever wear. The sole will feel stiff as well. But again, after a few wears, your foot will appreciate the support. I buy one pair every year and wear them in all seasons. Summers get hot where I live, but that doesn’t stop me from slipping these on any time I can. And winters get cold. I love how they keep my feet toasty warm, and being able to wear them outside as well as in, thanks to the sole. In short: The sole allows you to wear them outside. The natural materials form to your foot. They’re naturally moisture repellent (not waterproof, but pretty darn close). They feel tight at first bc the shearling is so thick, but it molds to your feet for a perfect fit. If you’re up for the challenge, and the price tag, these boots are so worth the money. Just be sure to check the sizing.
