Organic Sateen 624 Thread Count Fitted Sheet

For over a decade, I bought RL’s 800 thread count Bedford king sheets & pillowcases. The quality was amazing. The weight of the cotton was perfect. I don’t know why they stopped making them, but it was a huge mistake. These new “organic” sheets cost more than the Bedfords, and the quality is subpar. I’m surprised that these are able to use the RL brand name. The sheets are so thin, that you can see the text of a book through them. The flat sheets aren’t wide enough, so you can’t tuck the sheets in on both sides of the bed — which has always been one of RL’s biggest drawbacks when buying any sheet sets, but it’s even worse now. Also, the flat sheet and pillowcase trim, is not actually trim, it’s a tear waiting to happen. Especially on the pillowcases. I hate these sheets. I even tried buying another set of sheets that seemed to be thicker and better quality than these, but they were just the same (I bought them last week at Macy’s as they were having a sale and returned them yesterday). Ralph Lauren should be ashamed of the quality of their sheets, and for a higher cost than what their once incredible sheets, it’s like buying cheap knockoffs. Stay clear of RL sheets.
