R-CD100 premium design and performance!
Good CD player options are fairly few and far between, so this little unit was a no-brainer once I’d been introduced to Ruark’s impressive and beautiful R610 console and Sabre-R speakers. It was a tad noisy to begin with, but settled down after a couple of plays, so just a bit of “teething”! It now handles my vast CD library with ease and aplomb!

Deeply troubling reliability and interface
I cannot understate how disappointed I have been with my recent purchase of this CD player. I own an old R4 whose CD player failed and I could not get it repaired, so I upgraded to the new R410 and have waited for the CD player to come (despite my wife querying the logic to buy a machine from a manufacturer whose last machine died). Anyway I opened the box on my new CD player connected it up and nothing, it whirred and couldn't read any CD presented to it, then it jammed with one half in the slot. You can imagine my wife's scorn, I returned to the supplier who replaced my unit with the display one. More success with this, it could detect and play CD's! However the dream integration between the R410 and CD player is a myth, Randomly I have to manually select CD, then occasionally the R410 just emits a distorted hum until I manually turn the power off and on again to reset the system that the CD player has somehow confused. On the positive side it sounds great, but I am very worried about reliability and my wife's told you so expression.

What you have described is not something that has been reported before, so firstly we would advise that you check to make sure that your R410 has the latest software installed.
