Seams not sealed
This jacket does not have seam sealing. On wet rainy skiing days you get wet. Having paid this kind of money one would think you would stay dry on rainy skiing days days

Best OR ski coat in quite a while!!
20+ days on this jacket. Great fit, good style, good warmth and breathability ..DO NOT CHANGE IT!!!! Color availability weak. The orange black and the camo black are not good.
Single color kits with contrast jacket yoke promote buying two pants one jacket.

Go to jacket
I went all in on Outdoor Research this year. Just like their pants, this jacket was perfect. I have an odd body size, 30" legs, 40" waist, 48" chest and a long torso. Their sizing chart is dead on. Wore this down to 15F because thats the coldest it got. When I opened up the package I was a bit miffed. I thought to myself I bought a jacket, not a shell. I had to open the arm vents after each run when the temp got up to 25F with just a shirt on. Just wow. Their zippers are sealed, easy to operate. I love the forearm pocket. I threw my RFID lift pass in there and forgot all about it. No more fumbling for that since the scanner picked it up easily. The rest of the pockets on the chest and inside held my car keys and wallet, didnt even notice them afterwards. Non-restrictive, breathable, warm, everything you wanted in a jacket. Oh, and the powder skirt came in handy when the kids tried to find a way to shove snow into my clothes.

A Fantastic Ski Jacket From OR
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Powderverse Jacket by Ourdoor Research is an awesome piece of gear. I wore this jacket mostly for days inbounds at the resort this season, and it excelled in nearly every way. Throughout the season I was faced with weather from the negative teens (Fahrenheit) to the high 40's, but with space for layers and good ventilation or tight cinching, the jacket handled it all. The material is durable and comfortable, the jacket is warm but not too warm, the vents are well placed and easy to access with gloves on, and there's enough pockets to store all the gear I normally ski with (spare layer, GoPro & battery, phone, snacks).
I think the only negative about the jacket for myself was that it is a bit long for a medium, so at times it would feel slightly oversized in that sense, but I do have a shorter torso so I'm sure that is part of it.
It is important to clarify that Outdoor Research did send me this gear for free to test, but that truly did not bias my review.
I Overall, OR really hit this one out of the park again. I love their gear and definitely would recommend this jacket to any lifelong or beginner skier or boarder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After putting in 30 days on the mountain with a mix of resort laps and backcountry tours, I can confidently say this Outdoor Research ski coat delivered in every condition. From storm days with deep powder to bluebird spring afternoons, the jacket never let me down. It stood out with its high-quality materials, great breathability for long hikes, and solid warmth in colder temps. It is slightly insulated, so I had to put in some thought on my layering on warmer days to be sure not to over heat, but it did have great armpit zippers. One of my favorite details was the built in wrist sleeves with thumb holes, which kept snow and wind out while adding extra comfort. I received this jacket for free to review.
