Off the Shoulder Jersey Gown with Column Skirt

This dress is made from a heavier material and truly feels high-quality and expensive. I’m the mother of the bride in two weeks, and being in my mid 40s, it’s been surprisingly hard to find something appropriate. Everything I tried on either made me feel like I was dressing like one of her 20-year old friends or like I was skipping ahead to my 60s in something overly modest. This dress finally hit the balance I was looking for. One thing to note: if you’re on the shorter side, alterations will most likely be needed. I’m usually a size small or a 4, and I ordered the 2. It fits, but there’s quite a bit of room in the back, enough to fit an entire arm down, so I’ll need to have it taken in and definitely hemmed. Overall, it made me feel exactly how I wanted to feel for such a special day.
