Oblong Hoop Earrings

I finally broke down after many, many years of reactions to jewelry and the few pairs of earrings I could safely wear breaking down over time. I bought a pair of sterling earrings off Amazon, they were labeled correctly but I had a reaction and likely fake. So I treated myself to these sterling silver earrings thinking I would be okay because I was buying from a reputable store. Super difficult to even determine how to open these, nearly impossible to get them into my ears. But the absolute worst part is that each time I wore these I had a painful, itching, positively intolerable to wear reaction that almost closed up my piercings permanently. I don't understand what truly composes these earrings but I finally tried wearing a ring as an experiment that I hadn't worn in many years that I know without question is sterling and I haven't had any reaction to it at all. I'm out WAY too much money for these intolerable earrings and I'm not positive that I will be buying more jewelry from Nordstrom.

These earrings are good quality and I like the shape a lot but they are smaller than I thought they would be. Also, for me the post was too short and the clip was pressing on the piercing which got irritating after awhile. I don’t think could wear them all day. They kind of look like child size earrings.
