Marilyn Linen Blend Trousers

I really like the cut and length of these pants, and they are at a very nice price point. Unfortunately, I returned them. I ordered 2 sizes-my normal department store size and one size smaller. Both were too large. I will not try another size smaller because the pants did not have enough structure too them. The fit was loose all over. NYDJ is known for having thicker fabric in the hips and waist to shape your body and give you nice curves. These pants are made of thin linen that stretches out and the fabric is too loose at the waist, hips, and legs.

I love the NYDJ brand and have many of their pieces. These I was excited about as a light summer pant I could still wear to work. They looked and fit great out of the box, but throughout the day, they stretched so much I had to double over the waistband. And of course they're linen so I fully expected some wrinkling, but the way they wrinkled and stretched made them look awful and dumpy by the end of the day. I really don't think I can wear them again which is disappointing.

I tried this pant on in a 4 and it was huge. I normally wear a 6 but ended up with a 2. I would say mine might have been miss marked. Also, I wear petite normally (5’1”) so this pant is extremely long but the leg is straight so will look good once hemmed. I really like the waistline and the pockets. This pant will dress up nicely.

I like the soft material but it expands and becomes too big and baggy when i wear it. I have never seen anything like it. I usually wear 6-8 pants and returned them for a 4 because they seemed to get bigger when i wore them for a short time at home. Now the 4 is also too big. I wash and put in dryer each time i wear to shrink them, and after an hour wearing them, they are too big and baggy again. Im just wearing them around the house because they are too baggy to wear in public. I am 5’9, 135 lbs. I bought the black color.
