These are my new favorite running shoes! They're lightweight and very breathable. I have wide feet and bunions and was able to wear a 9B. It feels incredible and doesn't irritate my feet or cause any rubbing. I also get a lot of compliments whenever I wear these out.

durability

Flawed design

These shoes have a great cushioned sole but they have one flaw that makes it hard to wear. ASICS decided to change the tongue and make it paper thin so every time you put your foot in the tongue wrinkles up into the shoe and you have to fight to bring it forward. If it does manage to stay in place the sides will bend underneath and you have to dig them out to straighten them. It has a ribbon like material that runs on top of the strings but it doesn’t seem to have any purpose except to remind you of the brand and style of the shoes. For the price you pay it should have a normal thickness in the tongue.

too bouncy

these fit true to size out of the box but they were too bouncy for my preference. it felt like i was walking on bouncy foam pillows, which made me feel a little unsteady. they were comfortable though. i prefer more stability in my athletic shoes. i am not a runner, only occasional sprints, but walk every day. i did not find these comfortable to walk in so i returned.

good for OrangeTheory

These are a well-rounded shoe and good for HIIT classes with lots of exercise variation. They fit in the rower footplates at my OTF studio, unlike the gel-nimbus shoes. However, I do feel like they are slightly unstable. These shoes don’t have much support in the arches, so that can affect balance. I think a flatter, less-cushioned shoe (and perhaps with higher arches if you need) would be better for balance and stabilization.

Where're quality control?

Very disappointed that I was mailed shoes that had bern worn. The soles are dirty with mud and fine rocks in the sole grids? These were too big and will be returned for both reasons.
