Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

I previously owned 2 cashmere sweaters that were purchased from major online retailers. One of them was getting baggy and pilling after a year of use. I bought 2 Nordstrom sweaters on sale after the holidays, and these are definitely higher quality. They have a tight knit, are lightweight but warm, and look great. I wear a size 38, and the medium is a perfect fit. Highly recommended!

I was a little late trying to find my husband some winter sweaters. I ordered several styles of Nordstrom cashmere as well as cashmere sweaters from several other high end department stores, and another cashmere sweater for my husband from Nordstrom's higher end brand. Of all the store brands Nordstrom's was far and away the best quality - softer and thicker with nicer finishing around the neck. The color was richer too. There was also virtually no difference between The Nordstom standard and higher end brand. The price on sale was the best as well. If there was more variety left, I would have bought more. I would highly recommend. I will say he is probably an average large, and the larges run fairly true to size - if anything on the generous side.

I have long been a fan of Nordstrom men’s cashmere sweaters. Twenty years ago I bought two of the vneck talls and wore them as tunics. These sweaters were triple ply thick and luxurious. A cashmere sweater manufacturer on a flight to Hong Kong had to ask where I got them as the quality and style were so amazing. That said, the quality of this years’ cashmere offerings was very disappointing. Thin, single ply, with a round bellied cut that did not fit my trim husband.

I’ve purchased a number of the cashmere sweaters sold under the Nordstrom brand over the years. Most meet their demise through my own negligence such as accidentally washing and drying them. However, past versions have all been true to size and more durable than a cashmere sweater at this price point deserves to be. Admittedly, I’m buying XXL for a reason. However, I fit into most XXL clothing. This sweater fit like a L would fit. It was skin tight all around and the bottom of the sweater barely touched the top of my cavernous belly button. Maybe it saw me and was scared. Honestly, I want to love this. Everything about it is excellent. Maybe it was mislabeled for size.
