Not Like The Old Nike React FlyKnits/Bad on Ankles
I had an older pair of Nike React Flyknits and wore them to death because I loved them so much. I loved them for running especially. The knit upper kept my feet cool and conformed to my feet. It was a minimalistic shoe with a smaller sole, but I prefer that for running. These updated FlyKnits have a bulkier sole, which I was not afraid to try and thought it'd be better on my feet. Besides, it's hard to find a running shoe nowadays without a thicker sole. They felt nice and cushioned like my old FlyKnits as I put them on and stood in them, but the outer part of the shoe on the side, well the design goes inward and I took my first step in front of my mirror to check them out and my ankle almost rolled. I have very slight pronation, so that can be an issue for me, but I wasn't expecting that in running shoes. Anyway, that can be dangerous, so I am returning them. Huge design thing that will not work for people with ankle pronation. Also the material cupping the ankle is much thicker than old FlyKnits and it cuts uncomfortably high on my ankle, which I know if I wore them long enough would hurt. So nevermind on these.
