Almost perfect
I got this Crater Lake crew neck as a Christmas gift (2025) and I love the fit, the amount of stretch (88% nylon / 12% stretch is just about the perfect combo for lightweight stretchy tops, in my opinion.) And I hope Mountain Hardwear will continue to produce more colorful, interesting prints, because I get bored with the "safe" color options. The major negative that needs addressing is the roughness of the seams on the skin side of the garment vs. the softness of the seams on the face of the product. It feels like they should be opposite. The most uncomfortable seam is on the inside of the forearm, it rubs and creates sensitivity and discomfort to where I have to pull the sleeve up to relieve the discomfort after wearing the shirt for more than a few hours at a time. FIT: I am 6'2" 275lb and the XXL fits great. In fact, I wish your other crew neck baselayer shirt, the Butter Up, fit as nicely as this one. I have the Butter Up also and it feels just a bit too tight in the torso and mid section. So I'm glad this Crater Lake fits as great as it does.

Comfortable, durable and UV protection
I have several of the Crater Lake hoodies as they are my go to Sun Protection while hiking/biking from sea level to alpine. Picked up the crew style so I don't have to embed a hood into my jacket hood when the temps drop.
The crater lake series is simply a staple in my closet and it's generally the layer I grab first when headed out.

Great Shirt
Bought this a couple months ago and wore during an 8-day trek on Kilimanjaro and a few days of a Safari. Was super light and very comfortable and great at keeping the sun off. Really like the shirt.

LOVE these. Lounge pants next?
I love these shirts so much I've got it in several colors - I feel like it's a hugely missed opportunity to not have a base later pant or perhaps lounge pants in this same fabric. This exact fabric blend is the real magic! I run hot but can wear this on a warm sunny day OR on a cool brisk day comfortably, can have the sleeves pulled back comfortably without it squeezing my forearms, or pulled down and in the thumb loops. I don't always keep the thumbs looped but it's super useful for when putting on a jacket over it! Imagine if some kind of base layer ankle loop on pants made out of this could be really cool for the same function, or just plain base layer. Please consider making a pant version!!!
