The board is cut wide and low from solid onyx, corners rounded so the profile stays easy. A recessed circle is carved directly into the stone to seat the glass cloche without movement. The onyx runs ivory white, with flowing sage-green and warm peach veining that shifts across the slab. Late afternoon, a kitchen counter with good light and room to work. The cloche comes off, the board holds what's been arranged — aged cheese, sliced pears, a knife at the edge. The stone stays cool. The dome goes back on; the arrangement holds its shape until the guests arrive.
