Flammette Water Repellent Long Hooded Down Coat

While I gasped at the price of this coat, it is so flattering that it makes you forget the price, well almost... The coat is a great longer length and seems very warm, without being very puffy. Because the hood is zippered into a hidden pocket in the collar, the collar is tall and stands, which is very flattering. I also like the cinched waist on the back which is both slimming and will also prevent cold from rushing up the coat. This coat is definitely a splurge, but looks so much better than your average puffer coat, that I guess I can eat Ramen noodles for a while to justify the price...

This is lightweight coat but I think I can use it on snowy days too since we are just usually doing short distance of walking during winter. It has elastic on the back of your waistline. Not so long. I am 5’4” , 160 lbs and I got size 5 so I can move easily and more room for thicker sweaters when it gets too cold. I love the small side slits too. It has hood and it says waterproof.

Moncler coats always get excellent reviews. Unfortunately I can't recommend this coat. It may be just this year's coat and this model. The fit of the coat was very good. It was lightweight and seemed to be warm. I really wanted to like this coat because of the stylish and slimming look. I needed a coat for travel that could be worn in any kind of weather and would not need much care. However, the nylon fabric was not to my liking. And the lining was just awful. It attracted all the lint and worked like a dust collector. Given the price of the coat this was not acceptable for me. I returned the coat.

I originally purchased the Hermine Moncler coat, but exchanged for this one - which in my opinion, is a much more flattering fit. It's definitely worth the money! Very cozy (I don't like taking it off). I'm about 140lbs (smaller waist and wider hips), 5'4, and I purchased a size 2 (in black). Looks much better in person than in the pics, too!
