Mave Ankle Strap Sandal (Women)

I have wide feet, and wear a true size 9. My feet fit on the sole, but just barely. I need to have just a wee bit more length to the sole to have a bit of shoe both in front of my toes, and behind my heels. The width was just a little bit too narrow. I am sure the leather strap across the toes would stretch and mold to my foot, but I felt like the sole under my toe area was just not adequately wide. If the strap loosened up, I would have some toes hanging over the side. The shoe itself is very nice, with nice soft leather, and a cushioned back strap. It also felt soft and comfortable underfoot. This is a good quality sandal, and I would definitely recommend it, if you can find your proper fit.

These are good sandals, well made, but are too heavy for me due to the soles. Many sandals these days have these very heavy soles; it seems to be an industry ‘style’. While this kind of heavy soles/shoe would be ok in a closed shoe, in a sandal that one wears in warm weather it can lead to blisters and very uncomfortable walking, simply because we are wearing our sandals in warm weather.
