Sophie Customized Initial Pendant Necklace

This necklace is beautiful and delicate. The gold plate of the pendant looks shiny and more expensive than it is. The chain is nice and sparkling. I would love to keep it but it was packaged so poorly that the chain has multiple kinks and I don't have the patience or ability to work them out with my arthritic fingers. Not that this item is particularly high end but at $150, at the very least it could be packaged with the clasp closed and secured in a foam or cardboard necklace holder, or even in dare I say, a box. Instead it was thrown into a plastic zip bag with the clasp undone, allowing multiple kinks of varying sizes to take over the length of the chain, effectively shortening it and making it unwearable. The kinks are especially dense around the pendant which causes the pendant to lie at a funny angle even if you tried to wear it with the kinks in place. I've purchased jewelry at TJ Maxx that was packaged better. I'm really disappointed that more care was not taken because again, it is really beautiful, is reasonably priced for the quality and I'd love actually be able to wear it, however I will be returning. Surprising that Nordstrom would allow this sloppy presentation of a product they sell.
