Wrapt Waterproof Hiking Sneaker

Love the way these shoes look and I do wear them a lot. But I will be choosy about when I wear them. I got them for a European trip where I would be in cities and on some hikes. You do have to ease into the 'barefoot' feel of the sole and thick socks help. They are not the best solution on wet city streets or wet stones along the coast. I found myself slipping on slick stone sidewalks or rocks, and feeling every brick in a cobblestone street. They work fine on a gritty trail or fairly even pavement. Twenty minutes on a walking tour in the the rain proved that they were not waterproof, as advertised. The section in front of the laces was soaked. Luckily, they dried out overnight.

So I bought this for hiking while traveling and I love them. They are very comfortable to wear and the toe box is very roomy. The only down side is the tongue does kind of cut in the beginning but it’s a minor issue. I’ve enjoyed wearing them and feel like they help me walk correctly

I bought these shoes for work as my job requires me to inspect construction sites. Some of these construction sites are on uneven terrain or on a hillside with slopes. My tennis shoes were not doing a good job of gripping the ground. I needed shoes with more grip/traction. I ran across these. I know this is a good outdoor shoe brand and I love the fact that if the shoe you purchase from Nordstrom don’t work out because they’re causing you pain/discomfort or the shoe was not constructed properly and it starts to fall apart, that you can return them to Nordstrom. That’s why I love to buying my shoes at Nordstrom because of their return policy. Especially since these are IMO expensive! PROS: I like the neutral color since I purchased these shoes to walk around outside in dusty terrain. The shoes’ grip is literally on both sides of your foot, bottom sole, and back heel to provide grip. The toe box area doesn’t make your toes feel squished. Your toes are able to lay comfortably in a natural position. ON A WEIRD NOTE: The sole makes weird squeaky sounds when walking on smooth tile floors. It also feels weird walking on pavement because the soles are bumpy, giving it a hard plastic feeling. CONS: Soles are noticeably stiff. No bend when walking. No soft cushion support. The inside foot liner is thin IMO. No soft thick cushion support. My feet started feeling like they couldn’t breathe, and there wasn’t any air circulation. My feet are not prone to quickly sweating, but it felt like they were getting there after 30 mins. with them on. When I wear tennis shoes, I feel like my feet can breathe. I’m not sure if it’s because the shoes’ material is waterproof and that’s why it felt like the air circulation was minimal. I couldn’t wait to take them off and put on some sandals. I personally would not wear these shoes for daily walks on the pavement. The soles offer no shock absorption. The soles are meant more for terrain. Overall, they work for what I purchased them for: outdoor uneven terrain.

These are extremely comfortable, completely waterproof and have a wide toe box. I am going to purchase these in black too. I walk 20 miles a week and the bumpy soles are not wearing at all. These shoes also have excellent arch support which is perfect for my high arches.

Great shoes. Comfortable, love the larger toe box. They don’t look clownish.
