Meribel Quilted Maxi Puffer with Removable Hood

I get SO many compliments when I wear this coat. I love its length as it’s quite long (I’m 5’8). The only reason I took a star off is because when the coat arrived some of the synthetic down was oddly bunched up together. I had to massage it to spread it out more evenly across the jacket. My efforts seemed to work for now, tbd if it will bunch back up. Also, if you’re like me and don’t like logos on your clothes, this coat has a rather large one on the shoulder that I missed in the pics. I decided the jacket was too cute to pass on and the logo blends with the jacket well enough that it’s not too noticeable.

Perfect, warm winter coat. Withstood negative, windy temps in Chicago. The coat is heavy, long, has cuffed sleeves, and a great cinching hood strap …all work together to keep the cold out. I even wear it on chilly California evenings and it keeps me at a perfect temp, does not overheat. Fabric repels water. Synthetic down feels luxurious on! I wanted a coat with no feathers. Lining is same fabric es exterior so slides beautifully over your clothes, easy on and off. Hood is comfortable when not on my head (doesn’t choke around the neck like some) and is also removable. The fabric elevates the look and is also durable, easily wipes clean, salt brushes right off. The zipper is wonderful, high quality, no problems …SUCH a relief, as a zipper makes or breaks. Solid, serious hanging strap on the inner neck, best I’ve ever seen. Has 2 large outer pockets, lined with warm, black fleece w/ snap closure to prevent damage to gloves, fits large phone. One inner, zippered pocket securely fits large phone and passport. Bottom slit has snap closure to prevent zipper teeth from damage to leg wear. I’m 5’7”, no problems with walking or sitting when side slits are closed. If between sizes, go down. Slightly generous with sizing, plenty of room in the shoulders, which I appreciate with winter layers. I tried many others, including North Face, but this was the hands-down winner. Coat is very comfortable and I actually look forward to wearing it. Well constructed, even the care label has its own sewn cover that gives a slick look when you remove the coat indoors, no tacky labels sticking out. I bought black, so logo is not noticeable at all. I’m picky about long coats and this one checks all the boxes. Best coat I’ve ever owned. I got it on sale but would pay full price. I absolutely love everything about it!
