Meet Again Midi Dress

This is my dream dress! I’ve been eyeing it for so long, and it finally dropped in price so I got one. Free People does run large, so I sized down to a medium. It is so flattering, but as soon as I tried it on I heard a few beads drop to the ground and a few sequins were on the floor. Nothing major, but you’d think a dress that retails for $300 would sew the details on better. I also noticed a few loose strings on some of the embroidery, so it definitely lost more beading at some point or there was no quality check. Beware that it’s definitely translucent and might not fair well in the sun. Overall, I’m still in love with how it looks on me that I’ll keep it. If it continues losing beads and sequins, I’ll just sew more on (but you shouldn’t have to for something that costs so much).

Beautiful colors and embroidery and I love it for the most part but beware the back is see through and the embroidery is sewn onto sheer fabric so it puckers and does not lie flat. There are air pockets of material around the flowers and seams. I wish they had XXS ~ I’m usually XS in free people but this ran big on me in the skirt part. The shape is wide at hip and then narrow at bottom. The back strap tie is easy enough to tie by yourself, and the back is not too low. Open back is well above waist on me. I’m narrow in the hip, wide shoulders - 105 pounds and five feet five. The dress is at my ankles with high heels. I feel it could have been perfect but the puckering bothers me and the loose hip material swivels on me so it’s not a perfect fit for my shape. I’ll keep it but need to buy a full slip and I wish it was shorter like on the model so may try to hem it.
