Product replaced by different version
I own a pair of these jeans, which I love. 98% cotton/2% elastane, very soft. I bought a second pair at Nordstrom, and what arrived was a different version of the product: not the 98% cotton/2% elastane advertised on Nordstrom's website, but 92% cotton/6% elastomultiester/2% elastane. It is the exact same "product" (you can see the RN number on my old pair in the picture) but in a different fabric. The cut also feels slightly different.
The original fabric (98% cotton) was very comfortable, though I am starting to realize the cotton quality might be questionable: there is already some fraying after a couple of months of moderate use. It could be that the new and incorrectly advertised fabric is better. My guess would be that it is an even cheaper product now, with some cotton replaced by cheaper synthetics. These new jeans did feel heavier and less comfortable than my last pair, which along with the slightly worse fit, is why I'll return them.
