Painful
I’ve worn these once and so far they’re terrible. They cut into my feet so bad that I needed four bandaids to make it through the day. I bought the same size I have in other Lifestride shoes that are comfortable so I believe it’s more a design flaw. They might be bearable with socks or hose on, but these aren’t the style of shoe to be worn with socks and I don’t love always having to wear hose with what should be a comfortable casual shoe. Not sure I’ll attempt to give them one more chance to break in or not. Not sure it’s worth it. Disappointed.

Comfortable but size down
The shoe itself is comfortable because it is not completely flat and has some cushioning unlike other flat Mary Jane shoes. My regular size 10 was way too big though so I ordered it in 9.5 and hopefully that fits well. You've been warned.
