Pieni Letto Comforter & Sham Set

The fabric design is classic Marimekko -- and served the purpose of adding a blast of color and pattern to our master BR. The color and pattern on arrival matched what was represented online. I was disappointed, however with the weight of the cotton fabric, the "feel" of the insert to the comforter, and packaging/wrinkled state of arrival. Regarding the weight, I find the cotton fabric to be a lighter weight than I would expect of Marimekko yard goods. I'm confident that it will hold up (it's in a second home so doesn't get daily use) - and isn't likely to get too many washings dues to the King size and our less-than-oversize washer/dryer. The comforter insert is not as pliable as down or down-like fiberfill -- it's polyester -- and almost feels like it's a light foam pad. It's hard to just "throw off the cover" at night without having it bounce back. The comforter and shams came tightly packed in a box -- and were quite wrinkled. As I don't have an iron on site, I'm hoping that time will cause the wrinkles to fall out. But the Anniversary Sale price was a good bargain and we're satisfied with our purchase!

I purchased this comforter after long consideration. I love the pattern and the colors fit perfectly in the bedroom ... HOWEVER, I had to return it because the comforter was simply too heavy. For one thing, I would never be able to use it to sleep here in Florida. In addition it was physically too heavy for me to move - I could barely lift it. It would be great for winter sleeping in Finland or perhaps Alaska, but even in cold climates, in my opinion, the weight would be uncomfortable. I did not see any flaws in the manufacture, and for the right person and circumstance this set would be great if you like the pattern. and need the warmth.
