Mariabella Lace-Up Stretch Cotton Midi Dress

I love the pattern design for this dress but it ends there. This was my first House of CB purchase and I am shocked at the atrocious quality of this item. Color is accurate as depicted in the sage option. Construction: Many areas of loose stitching, repeated sloppy stitching, wonky hem that wavers between 1.5in-2inches. The stitching and construction is overall horrible. Neckline rolls under into itself and appears to be a construction issue. 2/10 because the dress is held together. For fit: I’m a usual size medium in everything, dresses, tops, bottoms, swimsuits. I purchased a large as it was the only size in stock and could have gone with a medium if it wasn’t for my bust. I’m a 34 h naturally and do have trouble finding dresses that don’t smush me on the top. The corset allowed a lot of flexibility with this, however ultimately smushed them like a flat block. The back shoulder pieces wouldn’t sit flush on skin and look awkward, falling to the side. Zipper seems of good quality. Overall, I’m not influenced by people online, however, I saw this item while looking for some thing to wear for a wedding and assumed at the price point and many, many reviews about this brand my biggest worry would be appropriate fit. I don’t see myself purchasing from this brand again.

I just happened to take it in to try it thinking it was going to be too small because it was XS. It actually fit because of the corset in the back allows for extra space. I'm usually size Small. It is also small boob friendly. Its so hard to fill in a lot of the House of CB dresses, but to my surprise there was no gapping with this one. It also doesn't show the tummy because it is gets loose in the lower tummy area.

This dress is gorgeous, beautiful quality, and looks exactly like the photos. The only problem is that it runs ABNORMALLY small. In my opinion, it runs smaller than other House of CB dresses I’ve tried. The tie in the back gives you some room for adjustments, but I would still recommend sizing up!
