Zoe Linen Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am slowly realizing that Madewell bottoms are relentlessly straight-bodied and are not meant to fit anyone with curves unless the style is called out as curvy. This is the last time I buy a non-curvy style. These shorts are soft and comfy. I am typically a 4, but I sized up to a 6 because linen doesn't look good when it's snug and I wanted to make sure there was room for my hips. There was, but the waist was loose enough that the shorts sort of fell forward on me. They drooped downward towards my pelvis because of the loose waist, halted only by the thickness of my hips. Consequently, the crotch area looked BAD, with a protruding, wrinkly seam. I machine washed them and put them through a dryer cycle, hoping they would shrink. They did, but mostly in the length, so the original problem persists but they also threaten to show my bum now. Offering two stars on these shorts only because the linen was soft and comfy and not see-through in the denim chambray color.
