Unflattering

High quality material but I think the only way these will look good on you is if you have the shape the model has. I'm 5'5" and pear shaped. Bought size 26 and there was a waist gap. They also came closer to my knee than the tall model of course. I looked frumpy and square. Super unflattering.

Huge A-line cut legs, silly looking

These run large, definitely size down one size. I am a size 28 in Levi's shorts, a 27 in most Madewell, I ordered these in a 27 and would need a 26 but I'm returning them. My stats: 126lbs, 5'8". Pros: loved the wash & feel of the denim. Cons: the legs are cut very wide and stick out on the side, picture an A-line skirt or dress and that is what these shorts do. Would be better with 2 inches less of material sticking out.

Cute comfortable and stylish jean Be shorts

No regrets!

The Essex Long Short was a pleasant surprise. I’m a short girlie at 5’4” and have avoided long shorts like the plague due to my short stature. When I saw them on the rack I loved the wash and distressing and rolled the dice. Absolutely love the fit and fun summer vibe! So cute with a racer back tank and simple sandal. Recommend!!
