The Darted Barrel Leg Jeans

I’ve bought madewell jeans many times just this year and my conclusion is that the sizing is literally different every time. No size 28 fits the same, which is esp. disappointing for final sale items. I never know what fit I’m going to receive. I wish this company was more consistent, because the material is great. It’s a shame.

Madewell jeans are one of the small handful of jeans that fit my very petite frame well. I have a pair in traditional denim and thought that a white pair would be great, and they are! I plan to wear them all year long.

I was really excited about these but sadly, they do not look right on me. The fit in the waist and through the hips/thighs was great. However, Madewell’s petite sizing is just not petite enough. I’m 5’1 and these brush the top of my feet with the darts slightly lower on my leg then where they should land, making me look dumpy. I would have to get them shortened and that literally defeats the whole point of buying petite. Forever disappointed in Madewell petites.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for barrel jeans that would fit my 5'1 frame that's not too loose that I would look smaller. I got them in denver wash. 25P. Though still a bit loose on the waist I decided to keep it to wear them lower my waist. These jeans are the perfect length and the barrel isn't so exaggerated. will buy another pair in white this time.
