Challenging and BIG!
We worked on this one for about a week. It's not for the beginning puzzler. We had periods when we tried each piece - many of the pieces are "turtle" shaped, so it was hard to find by shape... but we enjoyed walking by the puzzle and finding a piece here or there... and there were plenty of times when we fit one piece in and others then fell into place.

Frustrating puzzle
MadCap Puzzles have beautiful designs but frequently more than one piece will fit into the same space. This is especially a problem when there is a large section of with the same color -- like the moose's body. I do a ton of puzzles and I like challenges (Liberty, Stave, and even 2000 piece cardboard puzzles) but it's not fun when the only way to figure out the correct piece is to try each one. Because of this, I won't buy this brand no matter how captivating the image and shape are.

Level: Difficult
I love puzzles, but this one is a difficult one and certainly challenging. I tried and got a few sections done with about 25 pieces each, but had to stop and put it back into the box. I will try again at some point later. Disappointed because I have never quit on a puzzle. I felt like a failure. :(

MOOSE PUZZLE - pure fun!!
This gift will be a birthday surprise in JULY. My senior friend will be 88 years old and he has taken several trips to Maine where I understand there is a lot of moose! Hope he likes my surprise!
