Poor craftsmanship?

I loved this handbag as I unwrapped it. It was only going to be a “weekend” purse and not an everyday accessory because of its size. The leather is smooth and the color is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the front “button” that serves as the only decoration to snap the purse closed fell off after second use. I didn’t even realize it until putting the handbag away. I’m going to return the item much to my chagrin.
