Long Sleeve Belted Cotton Denim Midi Shirtdress

This denim shirtless by Ralph Lauren not only looks very polished, but is very comfortable due to the soft denim fabric. Truth be told, I was a little disappointed when I took the dress out of the package today and tried it on because the denim wash is a big lighter than the first few picture seen in the model (I was picturing a darker blue wash). Once I tried it on, my disappointment changed - especially when I styled my dress like the photos… looks great with the sleeves rolled up and the simple flat-knot tuck method for the belt instead of a traditional bow. The belt tie took some trial and error to figure out how to tie it like the model’s photos but I eventually figured it out with some help (the belt tie is essentially a half Windsor tie - see photo). I purchased a size 2 which is my usual dress size.
