One of the best hair treatments on the market
I've been using this for many years and it's always been my go-to product for my hair. There are some things to keep in mind for usage that aren't covered here, though. First, this is an oil that will solidify somewhat a room temp. You won't get a product that looks like it's pictured here. It will arrive milky colored and solid. But don't worry! All you have to do is run the bottle under warm tap water or submerge it for a few minutes in a pot full of hot water and it will turn into true oil, which you can pour out easily.
I personally use a LOT more than recommended, but that's because my hair is past my shoulders. Shorter hair is probably going to use about twice the recommended amount, long hair four times or so. Otherwise, you won't actually be distributing it all through the hair. It helps to have a wide toothed comb on hand (no regular combs, since they can tangle.) If you don't have a comb, just mush it through with your fingers until it's all good and feels oily and greasy. :) I leave it in for a half hour or so while I do other stuff. Then I jump in the shower and shampoo as usual.
The best part of this treatment isn't even the softness and shine you get after (for days!) it's the fact that it somehow imparts VOLUME as well. So even fine hair will get a boost from this oil.
I would never use any other oil in my hair. For my money, it's the best on the market and even though I use more than the directions say, one bottle easily lasts me four months, so per application it's not that pricey.
It does have a strong floral smell, but I think it's lovely. Smells like magnolia and coconut.
An alternate use would be to coat the hair with this before going into a pool or the ocean. It's got a nice UV protectant in it.

Disappointing
Very disappointed with this product, especially in light of its high cost. While it looks and feels like an oil, it does not add any moisture to the hair which unfortunately feels no different after shampooing than it does when I haven't used it. I will go back to using organic coconut oil as it leaves my hair softer and less prone to frizz for a lot less money.

WONDERFUL PRODUCT
Here we are in January 2014 with mountains of snow and my hair is as dry as the Sahara Desert…. seriously, sad situation. So, I found myself frantically searching for a solution to my dry hair problem before baldness occurred.
I found all the raving reviews about this product line and also see it frequently mentioned by celebrities in various magazines (the latest one was Zoe Saldana). So, I purchased both the dry oil for pre-shampoo and the after shower hair and body oil in this same line. Amazing! Truly amazing… My hair is so soft and manageable. Both products smell like you are on vacay! Cannot say enough about the transformation to my hair after using these products --only after a couple of times use!
Now, with this all in mind, I do have fine hair, but it is wavy and I blow-dry it straight, using the flat iron after that. Here are some tips for the products, if you happen to have fine hair like mine that reacts to oils (as in grease mop hair if not applied properly). For the pre-shampoo dry oil, I just slather a couple of handfuls on my hair, especially at the ends. Don't worry, you will be a greasy mess for a bit, but it all works out, After you shampoo and condition as normal, then be VERY careful about how much of the other spray oil you put in your hair (especially if it is fine like mine) after you blow dry and flat iron. This oil goes a L-O-N-G way. If you make a mistake with this, I found a couple of sprays of dry shampoo resolves the problem and panic.
Both oils are FANTASTIC. Buy them, you won't regret it!!! Oh, and the pre-shampoo oil will arrive at your house probably in the solid state. Just fill a sink with hot water and it will become liquid oil.

Prayers Answered
I have baby fine color damaged hair. My hair was a disaster. I tried every product I could find to remedy the situation, Fekkaki, Keratasse, Shu Umera, Philip B, Alterra, B&B, Davines, and others. The best I found was Philip B but still wasn't getting healthy, bouncy, hair with it. I had looked at Leonor Greyl before but had bad experiences with buying products online as hair products are easy to alter and you don't get what you're paying for. Then I noticed Nordstrom was carrying it and figured might as well try it, Nordstrom has always been excellent about returning things if you don't like them...this will not be going back. It's amazing the change in my hair, healthy, shiny, bouncy, styles like a dream...I can wear my hair down again. And although it's oil it makes my hair fuller! This is a miracle in a bottle. Used with the shampoo reviviscence and Jasmine Masque and will be ordering the volumizing products to alternate with.

Not for me....
This oil smells good, I'll give it that. It however was not effective on my hair. I even left it on all night and showered in the morning. No difference. After looking closely at other reviews I noticed everyone with thin or normal hair have positive reviews on this oil. Others who list they have thick or wavy hair ( which naturally needs more moisture) have not so positive reviews. My hair is wavy, dry and somewhat thick. I will be returning and continuing my search.

Fabulous!
Like the previous reviewer I fine color treated frizzy hair. I have tried EVERY high end product in the hope of "fixing" my hair. I ALMOST did not get this as I was about to give up that anything could improve my hair. Most products weigh my hair down and it goes from looking frizzy and wild to limp and string. The oil arrived yesterday and I put in in overnight and washed my hair this morning. I do not remember the last time my hair looked this shiny, bouncy and smooth! Thank you Nordstrom (your generous return policy inspires us to try new things cuz we figure if they don't work we can send them back) and the reviewers who encouraged me to try this. The Jasmin masque will be next!
