Leather Poncho

I never EVER write reviews - no time. But this Jessica London Poncho deserves one. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Do not buy. In 30 years of MANY purchases from Nordstrom, and many returns due to size, or arrived “not as expected”, etc., this poncho has to be one of my TOP 5 worst purchases. I saw the price. I took a chance. Big Fail. Pro - the leather doesn’t FEEL as bad as it looks. Cons…. it STINKS from over processing. The leather LOOKS as cheap as the price reflects. But MOST of all, the sizing is so far off, it’s UNWEARABLE unless you have an INVERTED (not even a flat) butt. I’m a 5’8” apple/pearish body - usually a 2X Woman if hips come into play, or a 1X in A-line styles. In a poncho, how much can size matter? No 22 available. I have long arms so ordered a 24, figuring at worst case I would have lots of extra drape. NOPE. Poncho is BEYOND BIZARRE in fit - there is NOT ENOUGH BACK to it. A 24 put the pockets around my back where I could barely reach them & it STRETCHED so tight across butt was unwearable to even try on! HOWEVER, I could have fit 2 OF ME, big hips & all, in the excess drape across front. For reference I also ordered a Nordstrom 2XL STRAIGHT (no A-line) Suede Coat @ 3x price, different brand & it fits beautifully. This Poncho? POORLY SIZED. STUNK. CHEAP. That’s all you need to know. Sorry JL, this is a huge fail. Can't even imagine the body of someone who could make this look good.

I really like this piece- good fit- soft leather- no smell other than leather. It has both snaps and a zipper- making it easy to put on and take off. Good length- falls below the hips. Only one issue is the snaps that enable you to create a “ sleeve” separation come apart a little too easily- a button might have been a better idea here.
