Wool Blend Trench Coat

This coat looks and feels great (soft fabric), with a good percentage of wool and decent-sized pockets. But the black dye in the wool-blend fabric bleeds. After trying it on, my fingers were slightly stained. So I tested it by gently rubbing a white sock on the inside of the hem for a few seconds, and sure enough, the sock now has black stains on it. So everything that would come into contact with the fabric -- skin, clothes, purses, furniture, car seats -- would have black dye transfer. Obviously that shouldn't happen with a coat.

I almost didn't buy this coat when it was half off during the sale because of the review saying the dye transfers. I got it yesterday, and the color did not rub off when I tested it with a white shirt. This is a beautiful, high-quality coat.

The coat is beautiful, it's a bit dark than the picture. Unfortunately for me, it's true to size. I really like the look of it but Nordstrom didn't have it in my size so I ordered a size bigger to try my luck. In case you are wondering, at 60% wool, this coat is pretty warm.

Very nice material for the price, more wearable cut compare to Burberry, not even to mention the huge money saving. A very RL coat, well done!

I love the fit and style of this coat, and it looks great on a curvy person. It has all the things I want in a coat--wool blend, solid construction, nice liner, waist-defining features. The sleeves are a little long, but that's normal in coats for me. Here's the problem: I read all of the reviews before purchasing, and decided to take a chance on it because some said the black dye comes off and others said it didn't. Sadly, I got one of the ones where it did, and was too nervous about it staining my lighter clothing to keep it. I bet the camel color would have been equally lovely, but I'd never be able to keep it clean in the winter.

Love the Vicuna color. True to size with just enough room and the length is perfect. I got the size 10. Not heavy at all and the belt adds a nice touch. Glad it was on sale.
