very large!
The Lanz nightgown that I ordered in a size M was huge! I usually get a new nightgown every year and in the past ordered M. This year's was an inch plus longer and much roomier than my collection of past mediums.
I would have to say that the sizing is inconsistant

Nice and soft. The first time I washed it, however (even before I wore it), the hem frayed and I have had to repair it. For what I paid for the gown, all stitching should have been secure. Therefore I am rating it 3-stars.

Love this nightgown!!
I have a version of this nightgown, but this one is much nicer. It has pockets which I love, and the neckline and collar are very nice--crew neckline and a nice border. I am petite and will have to get this shortened, but the Lanz gowns are very warm and cozy during the cold winter months.
