Orva Wedge Sandal (Women)

So happy Nordstroms carries this brand, this is my third purchase of this line in the past 6 months! The craftsmanship, leather and yummy comfort is wonderful with extra attention to the arch support and shoe lining. While this style provides height, they also lend good stability and are quite pretty. I've found with this brand, they tend to run a bit large so have purchased a half size down each time, (this is based on my feet ).

I wear 7.5 wide. The length of the shoe and the heel and toe box are perfectly sized and fit comfortably. It's a high quality shoe and it looks great on. But: 1} The arch support isn't as substantial as I'd thought it would be. And since the arch side of the shoes are open, it's not possible to discreetly insert supplemental arch support. 2) The middle of the insole that spans the arch (left to right) is too narrow, so the right side of my right foot hangs over the footbed just enough to be somewhat uncomfortable. Same for the left side of the left foot. I've rarely encountered such a problem in ordering my usual size. And it's not like my foot is super wide. Undecided about whether or not to keep these, because the shoes do look great on.

These shoes are perfection. I worked a 10 hour day at the hospital the first day wearing them and my feet felt great. They are super light yet supportive. I think they strike the perfect balance between casual and dressy - I would wear on the weekend with jeans, to work, or with a dress for a wedding.

I bought these shoes at the last moment before leaving on a trip to Europe in which walking would be our main mode of transportation. Wow, was I glad I did! They accommodate my somewhat wide feet, they are cute (even better than the photo), and look great with dresses and trousers. They are well worth the price. Elegant AND comfortable!
