These sandals just mis-fire on so many levels. The heel is too high for the style of shoe and is neither comfortable nor flattering. The toe portion should look and feel great on and absolutely doesn't. Even the color misses and the piping just looks blah and matronly. The only real positive is the padded ankle strap. These are going back ASAP!

Ankle strap too low
The shoe itself is very well made and I really loved the arch support. However, for me, the ankle strap at the back of my ankle came a little too low and did not nestle comfortably in the arch of the ankle. I felt the shoe would slip off and it put too much downward pressure because of the strap sitting too low on my ankle.

Unlike the other reviewer, I was delighted with my choice! I wear this brand most of the time and find that yes, in certain styles, there is a sizing issue - BUT - since I know about that, I was able to order the correct size for my 7.5 to 8 M (B) feet. The color combo is NOT bleh, it is elegant and classy. The heel has been on other styles that I have bought and love to wear. The toe is adjustable and bothe the toe strap and the ankle strap are Velcro backed making these an eay in and out choice of use. I own about 2 dozen pairs of LDP shoes because they are comfy, stylish and wear well! I have boots (ran a tad small so I went up 1/2 size), sandals both in 7.5 and 8, and regular shoes, mainly an 8. I first started knowing and liking this brand about a year ago when Nordstrom featured a black and white striped slide that I almost could not get! It was totally great and no old lady-ish. I had to return the 8, and when a 7 became available, I grabbed them. They actually fit fit b/c of the elstic slide. With LDP, you really have to try on the style unless you are familiar with the way they are cut. I highly recommend these shoes - classy and classic - beautiful lightweight and seems to elevate any outfit.
