Lace Inset Empire Waist Dress

For once, I don't have to do any alterations! Love the dress and how it hugs my body, it's light, breathable, totally wearable anywhere - you can dress it up by wearing jewelry and go to a fancy event, or wear it on a daily as a go-to simple black dress... but with a plunging neckline that is oh so sexy! Super cute dress at a very affordable price.

First of all, let me just say, I love the quality of Nordstrom's merchandise, the customer service and convenience of online shopping. While, I've had great success in the past, this purchase fell short of my expectations. As pictured it looks like a great dress. Unfortunately the dress is made of a very low quality jersey material that is virtually see-through, which is why I said it would make a great négligée. It really is not appropriate for anywhere outside of the bedroom. Just for reference, I bought the black I see there are other dresses by this manufacture and different colors so I can't speak to the quality of the other dresses or color choices. That said, I will continue to be a faithful Nordstrom's customer.

I ordered it to wear to an evening black tie wedding. Although I love the cut and it looked great on, I felt ready to jump into bed and go to sleep! It’s more of a nightgown than a dress. Very light-weight jersey material that looks and feels more like loungewear than something I would wear out of the house. It’s going back.
