Lace Evening Gown with Cap Sleeves and V-Neck

I tried on 20+ dresses and picked the lilac color for my son’s spring wedding. A nice change from all the blue dresses. I love the continuous lace without a seam at the waist. It has a bit of sparkle with small rhinestones. I had to have it hemmed and it was a bit too large in the bodice. Nordstrom did all the alterations.

I just purchased this gown as a mother of the bride dress and it is absolutely stunning! However the sizing recommendations are way off. According to the manufacturer I should wear a 10 but that was way too tight in the bust and across my back so just reordered and sized up to a 12, which is my normal size. Even with that am anticipating some alterations required as the dress is way too long and the shoulders need adjusting. Worth investing in to make it right as the dress and the dusty lilac color are truly stunning! But go by your usual size!

This is such a beautiful gown! I bought the navy version of the dress for my son's upcoming wedding and was so pleased at how it fits around my torso/ribs (though, at 5 ft. 8 inches tall and wearing heels, I will still need a couple of inches taken off the bottom by a seamstress)! I recommend purchasing the larger size if you are between sizes. It is not a cheap, lightweight dress. It is heavier which means it disguises plump areas with flattering coverage (especially compared with a flimsy, clingy fabric). The lace overlay is far lovelier than is pictured here, bejeweled with some sparkling sequins. I love it!
