Kids' Cloudhero Waterproof Running Shoe

I was looking for the perfect travel shoe for my sons that could take them through play adventures, rainy days and to nice dinners out. After one 5 day city trip the fabric on all three of my sons' new OC shoes has torn. The worst are the light grey versions which did not get clean after I washed them by hand.

My son absolutely loves these shoes. They’re comfortable, easy to run in, and slip on. He has worn them for a month and already they have started tearing apart. The bottom treads are still like new, but the inner ankles have come apart. I’m wondering if there’s some sort of warranty on these because they’re expensive for a kids shoe.

Our family has several pairs of On shoes in the rotation for the last several years and have always loved them for fit, quality and durability, but these are an entirely different story. First time ordering kids sizes, but saw them in another store in a different color way and tried them on, but ordered from Nordstrom because preferred the color way offered on website. When shoes arrived they were in a Nordstrom box, not an On box, which would’ve been fine, but they had clearly been worn HARD and returned. They still had a mud stain on the side of one and the toe boxes were very creased. I was in a rush because planned to take them on an upcoming trip so annoyed since they were full price, but would’ve kept them except despite being the same size as the pair and style I tried in store, they fit at least an entire size smaller. I double checked size and it was the same as I’d tried, but fit was totally different. Strangest and most disappointing experience with two companies (Nordstrom and On) I’ve come to trust. Hoping this is just a small hiccup not a new trend.
