Kenley Ankle Strap Sandal (Women)

They’re so pretty so I got the gold version and the jelly version. The gold are really uncomfortable and gave me blisters within an hour of wearing. The jelly’s I will be returning because the part that goes between your big toe actually is rough and scrapes your skin. I wouldn’t rebuy these.

These Dolce Vita Kenley gold sandals are absolutely adorable! The crinkled metallic gold leather has such a chic, elevated summer feel, and the thin crisscross straps with that shiny gold bead detail at the toe make them look way more expensive than they are. They pair perfectly with dresses, jeans, or shorts—I’ve gotten tons of compliments on how pretty and shiny they are. The flat sole is lightweight and flexible for casual days. That said, the back ankle strap is a major issue for me. It digs in and rubs painfully against my ankle after just 2 minutes of walking, even when I loosen the adjustable buckle as much as possible. The thin strap design doesn’t have much padding, so it creates real pressure and irritation (almost like it’s cutting in). The rest of the sandal is comfy enough—no toe bead poking or anything like some reviews mention—but that ankle strap makes them impossible for anything beyond very short outings. If you have slim ankles or prefer super minimal straps, these might work better with some break-in time or modifications. But if ankle comfort is important, I’d look for something with a wider/padded ankle band. They’re stunning to look at and so on-trend, but sadly not kind to my feet. Wish the design prioritized wearability as much as style!
