Cushy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a pair of shoes that I liked a lot, air padded. But nothing lasts forever. Time to trash them.
I have been wearing Keen hiking boots for many years, pleased that they actually provide enough room for my toes (I once tried another brand in size W, took it back). So I was primed to try Keen shoes.
Existing boots: 42/ US9, two pairs of heavy socks
Shoes, based on measurement in store: 40. 5/ US8
I probably should have bought at least 8. 5. One pair of heavy socks is snug and two wouldn't really be possible. Next time.
They're springy, they roll, almost enough to feel unstable. I'm ok with that because I want the balance and stability exercise. I walk on sidewalks and hike hard-packed trails and rocks and I'm ok trading off a certain amount of comfort for performance. If you're trying to minimize lost energy in the shoes, this is probably not the right one for you.
