Kate Harness Boot

I ordered these black boots because last summer I purchased the pink Frye boots and just loved them. The black ones are much firmer with a slightly higher heel. They are sleek and classic. You can dress them up or down. They smell delicious and scream high quality. There is no comparison. They are pricey but worth the money.

I wear a size 9 but did order the 10 because the toe box on other styles with Frye have felt tight. I'm good with my 10. My foot does verge on wide and that also may be why I prefer the bigger size. I have wide calfs and did have to ever so slightly stretch the top of the boot about 1/8" - 1/4". Fits perfect now. The boot is otherwise comfortable out of the box. My issues are minor and not a craftsmanship issue, just a different measurement. I would 100% buy again. Great quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Frye purchase, and I absolutely love the quality of the leather and the beautiful Rosa color. The craftsmanship feels excellent. That said, the fit has been challenging. The boots are narrow through the ball of the foot but loose in the heel, and the longer last takes some getting used to. I normally wear a size 7, but exchanged them for a 6. 5, which is still a bit loose. Going any narrower would make the forefoot even more uncomfortable. I’m wearing them daily to break them in, but after three days my feet are very sore. I’m hopeful they’ll soften and mold to my feet over time, but my first impression is that the fit may not work well for everyone.

These are absolutely beautiful and the leather is extremely high quality. These are boots you can wear for many, many years! I love the variations in the leather color in the Bark color. Unlike others, I did NOT think these run big. I ordered a 7.5 based on reviews and ended up exchanging them for my usual 8. You may have to experiment, perhaps they run big if you have very narrow feet. In any case, they were worth the wait and I'm excited to wear these with dresses in the warm weather and jeans in the cold weather.
