Yes. & yes. Break in period. Normally a 9.5 W. Tried both the 9.5 d and 9.0 d. 9.5 too big. Then the Wide became available and the 9.0 Wide was the winner. Nice leather and better than the 10 other J&M I tried.

Good looking shoe, poor quality control.

It's a good looking shoe, and materials seem good but not as good as they once were. What was really disappointing was the scraps hanging off all of the stitched edges. It took some careful cleaning to remove it all and should have been done at the factory.
