Dale 2.0 Pocket T-Shirt

My husband has a Johnnie-O Dale shirt for several years now in steel that he wears frequently. Each time he wears it, I comment on how nice of a shirt it is. It is more than just a basic tee. Even after all the washing and wearing, it still looks great. So, I decided to buy another in Navy. I just washed it per instructions for the first time and I am alarmed. The neckline shows signs of wear and pilling, which I have never seen on any high quality tee such as this one. They changed the logo tag on the new shirts to an embroidered one , so it seems logical that they could have changed the composition of the shirt, as well. I have already ordered another one to replace the one in steel, but if it washes up the way this blue one does, neither will survive like the old one has. I am bummed.

Love the look, feel, and colors, but the dyes are horrible. Several shirts have either had the colors run and/or ruined other garments. An extra tag shipped with the shirts states to wash separately initially which I did. I then washed in cold water per the tag and have had two shirts with the colors distort on the shirt and one cause staining on other garments, to include Johnnie-O pants!
