Designed as a tribute to 2,000-year-old footwear found at archaeological digs in the Middle East and part of an Israeli-Palestinian collaboration, these minimalist, natural-leather sandals are handmade in Hebron by skilled Palestinian craftsmen. Know this before you buy.
Growing up in India, we wore sandals (Chappal) just like these, at a fraction of the price obviously. So after over two decades later I decided to get these since I am in Los Angeles, weather is more suited for these. The only regret I have is why did not I get these when I moved to California in 2012.
These will be a bit rough and hard at first, that is why wear them for a hour and switch to something else, but trust me once you break them in, it will contour to your foot. These appear to be made of a really good quality.
Sandal size should be exactly as long as the foot. because leather stretches and will give in close to an inch.
Yeah, the price is steep but then again we are in merica...
You got really wide feet, size up.

Know this before you buy.

Very comfortable
This sandal is amazing. I have 3 different styles from the company and receive lots of compliments. The David however fell apart quickly. The toe loop pulled through the sole. The other two are worn very often. They are holding up very well. Just be cautious on this model.

Awesome sandal!
Awesome sandals! I've worn flip flops a lot and was looking for something a little dressier and not as ubiquitous as Birkenstock's. These fit the bill. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 so I ordered the size 43. They just fit lengthwise. I have wide feet and the width is perfect. I agree with other reviewers that the toe loop is quite uncomfortable out of the box. I soaked the sandal in water and massaged the leather toe loop. That made a huge difference. It does take a while to break them in - just like any other leather shoe. But the look is awesome with shorts or pants.

Great Men's Sandal!
This is a great looking men's sandal! I bought it for my husband. Very chic, and a dressier alternative to a regular thong sandal. You must break them in, and I suggest doing so when you're at home. My husband said that the toe piece takes a little getting used to. I will also being ordering these for him in black.
