Pump (Women)

Had several issues (detailed below). This seems like a very nice shoe, well made (as far as I can tell), narrow enough at the Achilles tendon that I didn't walk out of them (I buy size M width but have a narrower heel/ankle area, & tend to walk out of many shoe styles), extremely stiff but maybe that would break in? I have a few foot problems that make event-shopping challenging: bone spur (not bunion) on top of one foot, & various tender areas for nails on big toes (prior injuries). These shoes hurt me so much that I could hardly walk across the room during try-on. They press down on my big toenails fairly hard; ditto for the big-toe bone area on top of foot. Great fit around my narrow ankle, and nice use of elastic to keep them on, but toe box, despite its not being pointy, was still impossible for me to wear. The "true to width" standard field that you have to fill in when reviewing isn't really helpful here: yes, it's true to WIDTH, but the HEIGHT of toe box felt too small for me. Returning. Might've had to return anyway b/c of the glitter style I chose (I think this shoe is also available in flat finishes). The textured glitter seemed to catch on the lightweight fabric shoe bag in which it was shipped, making me realize that the gold glitter would likely catch on (and maybe damage) the organza skirt of my gown. (I was alerted to that by another Nordstrom reviewer's comments on a different shoe: as soon as you sit down, your dress/skirt/pants will drag across your shoes, so you need to be sure the materials are compatible).
