Thin by design
The black caviar color truly is a nice deep black. The material is soft. The thinness makes this sweater feel like a secondary piece of skin in a good way; it regulates your temperature well. I wear this like a long sleeve shirt in terms of how much warmth and bulkiness (lack of bulkiness) I expect from it. It’s not too thin to the extent of revealing what is underneath like some reviews say.
If you expect this to have similar warmth and thickness to a typical long sleeve shirt, then you won’t be caught by surprise.

Don't buy! It is so thin, it is see through!
I have bought Nordstrom brand sweaters in the past....especially with merino wool. The quality is horrible. I picked up the sweater and I could see through it...through the front and back together. What happened to Nordstrom's quality control?

"Navy Iris" is a dark navy
The picture on the website shows a blue that is significantly lighter than the traditional navy. The color in the picture in this comments section (where I am writing these comments) is a dark navy. The actual product that we received is a dark navy not the lighter blue color in the on-line catalog.
