Hotel Lounge Robe

The star rating of 3 is deceiving- I placed two separate orders of these robes and my review is based on both of these orders. The first robe I received was beautifully packaged and the robe is amazing. I liked it so much much, in fact that I ordered another one as a gift. The second one that came was a mess. It was clearly a return and arrived balled up in a plastic bag. Needless to say it went back immediately. When I returned it to my local store, I expressed how disappointed I was in receiving an item from Nordstrom in this condition. I was aware that the robe was supposedly being shipped from the manufacturer, but both arrived via Amazon. Apparently, Nordstrom is now involved in the "marketplace" at Amazon and this item is one of the things that are sold on the Nordstrom website but are, in fact, coming from Amazon. I am very disappointed in this- while the first robe is wonderful, I resent the fact that Nordstrom is selling this item as essentially a middleman for Amazon and there is zero quality control. What a shame.
