Trail Code GTX Hiking Shoe (Men)

Purchased Trail Code GTX last fall. I’ve had mixed results with Hoka. My wife has really enjoyed hers so that makes my life easier but… First impression was they felt like micro snowshoes - Sole is really long! It’s perhaps 2” longer than my comparable Keens. That was good for winter trail runs but it’s not what I would recommend for average hiking. Used modestly for 3 months until March. I only wear for winter and when I pulled them out this month, their upper was separating from the sole near the arch. Not a high stress spot exactly. I began the warranty process but Hokas website wouldn’t accept since they’re over a year since purchase. Another lesson learned. Now, perhaps if it was the 1st pair I had returned for poor craftsmanship or materials, that’s one thing but about 50% of the Hokas I’ve purchased have gone back for replacement and 70% should’ve!! Caveat emptor!

I work for FedEx as a delivery driver. I kill my shoes every 3 month but this one was very durable they lasted me like 7 months but heavy heavy use, we run under very different surfaces, the shoes are very comfortable, fit very well and make my feet feel so good and very secure keeps my ankles safe also my feet don’t get wet inside when I’m walking after raining or during the raining.
