Harmony Falls Water Repellent 650 Fill Power Jacket

This coat has to be some kind of design mixup. It’s warm and light, but it’s like the cinching cords on the hood and waist are reversed. For the hood, the cords are on the inside of the hood, right in front of your chin, so if you cinch them at all, you have annoying cords flapping around your face and rubbing your chin. Also the plastic toggles are big and I feel them on my face. Meanwhile, the cords/toggles on the waist are on the outside of the jacket! So if you cinch them at all, they stick out awkwardly on either side of your waist. The fit is off too. I’m slender, 5’6, 122 lb, I do love an oversize boxy cut, but this kind of bubbles out over my abdomen and butt, not a true boxy cut, not flattering. Too bad because it’s actually warm and I love the brown color. Returned.

I always buy from Columbia for my family’s winter jackets. We love them and they are always of good quality. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for this jacket. I bought this jacket last week and when I got it. I was surprised at how the jacket is suuuuper light almost and kinda bulky but not bulky that will protect you from the cold. Anyways, I tried it on coz the weather is kinda chilly but it didn’t keep me warm.. I was cold. This jacket runs big as well. I’m usually S but this one is probably M. Although the color is pretty nice, quality is not what I’m not expecting for.

I got a Small which allows room for a big sweater or a light jacket if needed. I wore it with the snow and stayed warm, even in cold mornings or evenings (-8 C). Bought with sales and highly recommended!
