Sylke Horsebit Chukka Loafer (Women)

These shoes are absolutely beautiful. I am typically a size 9 or 9 1/2 and the 40 (10) is the right size. Unfortunately, the opening where your foot slides into, is too small. I took me 20 minutes to fnally get my foot in and they are amazing. I am hoping they loosen up, because I just can't bring myself to return them.

Beautiful chocolate color, very comfortable, do run half a size smaller compared to other Gucci loafers I have. I’m usually a solid Italian size 40 with Gucci, but based on the reviews i decided to get them in 40.5 and that was a good call. I was a bit worried about the narrow foot entrance however it was not an issue for me. I use a shoe horn and my feet slide easily in. I love these shoes!

This shoe/boot is lovely in concept but challenging to wear. I really wanted to make it work but just could not find enough in my wardrobe to justify keeping this shoe as it was just not versatile enough. For the narrow leg pants, they had to be much shorter than the length I I typically wear my pants and the longer, narrow leg pants competed with the boot and were not wide enough to sit correctly or cover the boot. I think a really wide leg pant might work better. It was too sporty or casual of a shoe for my skirts/dresses. They were well made and comfortable but did rub my ankle a little due to the height of the boot and were it hit on my ankle. While I really liked the boot, I found it too challenging to style with my wardrobe and how I commonly wore my clothes and had to return.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous, but for the price, I just can’t justify it. I have a narrow and very thin/bony foot usually shoes slip on the top because of this. In this ankle boot, with a shoehorn, I struggled for 5 min to get my foot in! The top of my foot was red from the friction trying to get it in, but once in, the size is perfect and they are true to size/length. Trust me, I’m crying having to send these back lol but I cannot spend this amount of time and the money on something I can’t get my foot into easily. What a shame because it’s not sizing issues, it’s the design where there is zero give to allow the forefront of your foot to slide in more so the heel can follow. 3/5 stars because of this issue and thats the only reason. And they won’t give more with time it’s truly the structure.

I am a true 7.5. Ordered an 8 based on reviews, it was too big. Returned for the 7.5 and length is perfect. YES, they are hard to get on. But once on, they are amazing and already stretched a bit just wearing them around the house. Only real issue is… the color shown is not the actual color. They are a taupe-y grey color. Still neutral and I like them so much, I’m going to keep them!
